Cron Expression Gotchas: Day-of-Month OR Weekday, Step Values, Invalid Dates and Time Zones

By

Verified with croniter: the next runs for 0 9 13 * 5 (every 13th AND every Friday), 0 */7 * * * jumping from 21:00 to 00:00, 0 0 30 2 * raising an error, and which expression forms (6 fields, @daily, 61 minutes) are accepted.

Preview your schedule before trusting it. Cron treats day-of-month and weekday as OR, */7 hours restart at midnight, February 30 never runs, and time zone or DST changes can skip or repeat jobs.
